A number of you have completed your club, area and division contests. I enjoyed every contest I've attended and look forward to many more!
I'd like to share your contest successes with all the toastmasters in district 6. Please send me your photos and stories. I'll post the best (okay, all of them) so that all of us can see how much fun you had.

Speaking of contests and conferences, Marshwinds Toastmasters is having a club meeting with the theme "Beyond the Club" tomorrow (Thursday the 2nd) at 9:15am at the Marsh in Minnetonka. Everyone's invited!

Back to your question: I have participated in a few contests over the years. I have to say that I get the most growth from competing, but that any role including audience member is a pleasure. I have to say that the contest that stands out for me was being a "target" speaker for an evaluation contest this Spring. Here's an audio of the speech about my Toastmasters journey: http://supervalued.freetoasthost.ws/cgi-bin/public_downloads.cgi
